Contribution Rebate Program information for the February 13, 2017 by-election for Councillor Ward 42:


To apply for a rebate:

The Clerk must receive the completed rebate form by 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

Rebates processed:

A 90 day compliance audit period starts the day after the filing deadline. Once this period has expired, rebates can be processed.

  • primary financial statements are due Monday, April 3, 2017
  • supplementary financial statements (for those candidates who have extended their campaign) are due Monday, October 2, 2017

Rebate Payment Schedule:

Contributions made by Forms received by Rebate payment* (approx)
March 30, 2017 Early July 2017 Mid August 2017
October 2, 2017 Mid January 2018 Early February 2018
 Last day to apply for a rebate January 30, 2018 End of February 2018

*Rebates are only paid if:

  • the candidate’s campaign has closed
  • the candidate is not involved in a Compliance Audit proceeding
