Accessible Customer Service
In August 2009, to affirm and strengthen the City’s resolve to become barrier free, City Council adopted the Statement of Commitment to Creating an Accessible City which is consistent with the principles and standards created under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. This corporate policy statement guides the City in addressing procedural requirements for providing accessible services, programs and facilities, accessible information and communications, employment, and for ensuring that buildings, structures and premises meet the standards set for serving people with disabilities.
